While installing the base System from the ubuntu-8.10-rc-alternate- amd64.iso the installer says "Please insert the disc labeled: 'Ubuntu 8.10 _Intrepid Ibex_ -Release Candidate amd64 (20081022)' in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter." But the requested disc is (presumably) already in the drive!
