for me it is the same problem as bonfire89 described. See also:

thread Franko30 (me) gave there.
I use a German Transtec Senyo 600 mini PC with laptop hardware - and the
Intel 945GM chip.
The last working Ubuntu vers
I might be suffering from the same issue, I have the 945GM and it just
reverts to Versa

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the

I'm reopening this bug as I have more info on it.
I discovered that the error occurs when my tv-set is connected on
startup. The external screen has an odd resolution of 1280x768 which is
not supported by the internal display. The graphics card does not allow
a virtal size enough for the two scree

I'm am unable to reproduce this bug. This time, everything started up
fine and there were no issues whatsoever. Still attaching lspci and
xorg.conf if I manage to reproduce this later on.
