If you switch the theme to something else, like Mist or Clearlooks, the
power icon is replaced with gnome's little green running man, who is not
clipped or cropped.

Actually it cuts 2px from top and 2px from bottom, the left and right
margins are ok.

If that image Thierry posted is really using the same icon in both
positions (which I'm sure it is) then it looks like the drop shadow is
getting cropped in the FUSA applet too.

Kenneth: my guess is that the 24x24 icon is being used inside the FUSA
applet, resulting in something like a one-pixel border padding compared
to the usual icon ?

FUSA applet.

is how it looks with 26 pixels and on the bottom with 24 pixels.

screenshot and attach it here? I know how it should look like, but it
would be nice for people to see the difference. Maybe you can put both
in the same image (it will be much easier to compare). Thanks.

I second this, it's minor, but is bad-first-impression.
The difference to hardy seems to be that there is several pixel's worth
of background-colour padding above and below the actual display of the
switcher applet's content. This padding is not present in the hardy quit
applet, or the intrepid lo
