I have the same problem on my Fujitsu SiEMENS Amilo Pa2548. On Apha 6
the WIFI was working fine and when I upgraded to the new kernel
2.6.27-7-generic I lost my connection.

My problem is similar. The interesting thing is that wireless works
beautifully with the 8.10 beta liveCD -- much nicer than in 8.04.
After installing from the CD, the wireless doesn't work. If I do an
iwconfig, I get the same messages as shown above. If I do an lshw, I
see "network UNCLAIMED" f
