The script is not provided by Ubuntu and is thus not supported. Reading
it, it's also not meant for your situation: ie, using FF3 instead of
FF2. I've converted this to a question (support request). Please
continue over there if you have more information or wait for an answer.
I don't use Adobe
The script is not a random one. It is the most used one on the Ubuntu
forums in the 64bit section. The script is widely used because of the
repeated failure of flash to install to the 64bit version. Had flash
installed without the script it would never have been tried.

I'm reading that script, and I don't think it moves things where they
need to be for FF3, just for old FF. I suggest not using random scripts
you find on the internet if you don't understand exactly what they do.

I used this script: http://home.comcast.net/~ubuntume/nspluginwrapper-
install-0-1.8.6-2.tar.gz which installs both of the above items, as far
as I'm aware.
