the bug description is weird, are you sure that you don't hit backspace
when coming back and the char is added in the username entry which leads
to an incorrect username?

I meant doing nothing other than turning the computer on and walking away while
it goes through it's boot cycle. (about 1.5min on my thinkpad and p4 desktop ),
then coming back to it after 5 or more minutes have elapsed, (this probably has
something to do with the default screensaver function).
Hello -- I meant that I do nothing at all. Sometimes I'll hit the
start button on my computer(s), then do something else while it goes
through the boot cycle. If I leave it for too long, (probably the
default screen-sleep/suspend/hibernate setting 5-10min), then come back
