It won't be shipped at any point. Konsole depends on too much from the
KDE stack (in this case the KDE 3 stack) which makes deployment kind of
difficult. For that matter, the only applications that are affected by
the absence of it are KDevelop and Kile. We hope to have both ported to
KDE 4 in time
The reason the konsole tab is not working in Kile, seems to be that it
needs the "old" konsole from KDE3 not KDE4. See

At the moment Kile in Intrepid depends on konsole (
Sadly this is still true in Intrepid Beta.
