Leann, 'noapictimer' was there only for testing purposes. The system
behaves the same with or without this option.

Hi rockpiper,
I see from your dmesg output you're booting with the 'noapictimer'
option:

root=UUID=8c5c6e45-4a21-420f-9558-fab7967cb1f6 ro quiet noapictimer
What happens if you don't boot with that option? It seems though that
this might be a duplicate of bug
additional information:
1. Waking the system from suspend to disk mode does NOT trigger this
error.
2. On a normal boot, I can stop the boot process AGAIN at any time by
just releasing the key, as long as the “kernel event driver” (IIRC) is
not loaded. This is about the line I need to have on scr
