This bug seems to appear when access restrictions prevent the browser
from loading the external stylesheet. I've noticed in Firefox 3.0 and
3.5 that these include cross-subdomain requests.
e.g.
example.org/sitemap.xml > example.org/sitemap.xsl works
example.org/sitemap.xml > www.example.org/site
The original XML sample with an embedded style sheet produces an error
in Shiretoko (Firefox) 3.5pre implying that the browser started
processing of the embedded style sheet but stopped at the attempt to
import an external sub-sheet.

The same error occurs with an XML document referring to an external
stylesheet as specified in the xml-stylesheet processing directive
