I have seen that if you execute the first time olive-gtk crashes it. But
if you execute again (in the same session), it works fine.

I would confirm that It launches fine (even with not using the terminal)
after the initial crash.

Launched olive-gtk from a terminal and it crashed (before showing the
GUI). Subsequent launches did not crash. It seems like the first use
jogs something loose and the it works.
