Never mind, bug fixed. This morning I updated my system and rebooted,
it came up with the Hardware Drivers and I told it to use the
proprietary drivers. It reinstalled but didn't work, so I went into my
grub menu and updated the list with the latest kernel. Upon reboot, the
kernel patched in the
I will try later today. I upgraded to Intrepid yesterday via upgrade
manager, but couldn't get any 3d acceleration (screen worked fine
though, didn't lock up). I got it installed at 12 at night so I didn't
get much time to try stuff though.

I've just uploaded a new 8.543 version of -fglrx to Intrepid which now should
work with xserver 1.5. Would you mind testing this new version and reporting
back whether this issue is still present? If it is, it would be helpful if you
could (re-)post your Xorg.0.log
