Previously the LiveCD had an i386 kernel with no SMP support. There was
an i686 kernel with dynamic SMP support, but that kernel wasn't used for
the LiveCDs.
Just for clarity, does the "generic" thing mean that there's now one
kernel for all x86 archs (i386 and others) that support SMP on SMP
sys
This has been fixed with the new linux-image infrastructure where the
linux-image-generic (which is used on the desktop CD) supports SMP.
