possible to get Digikam Beta packages to go along with this? Digikam
Beta7 is already out.

Either deploy via intrepid-backports or the KDE 4 PPA. In any case this
is earliest possible with 4.2.0. Eventually Devid wants to include it in
the archive we store KDE 4.2 alpha/beta/rc in (not yet defined which one
it will be though).

The current version (beta1) crashes scanning my larg(ish) photo directory
(approx. 55GB). A known issue that is (according to the release notes) fixed in
