This is fixed in ubuntu 8.10 for my 80gb ipod classic. Previously it did
not work.

I would but i'm not running ubuntu 8.10 on my hardware directly. I
suggest some one else get the build from upstream or from ubuntu 8.10
(either backporting it or upgrading to it).

You could try and tell us :P
It is however unlikely, I think we didn't change ver ymuch regarding
this. It might be very possible that it will be addressed in 9.04 though
(seeing how the new digikam verison should be available by then).

I have the same problem on ubuntu 8.04 . i cannot export using gwenview
or digikam. This is with a 6th generation (ipod classic) 80gb. However,
debian lenny uses digikam 0.9.4 in which it is fixed. So i assume this
bug is fixed upstream.
