Hello Russel,
I have updated gant to version 1.7.0 for Debian, it should reach Ubuntu
in Karmic+1 because of lots of dependencies. You can use my PPA to test
Gant 1.7.0 on Ubuntu, it should work well if you use Jaunty.

Gant is at 1.4.0 bu
Gant is now at version 1.6.1. Squeeze and Sid both have this version.
Jaunty went out with version 1.5.0. Karmic still has 1.5.0 as well.
Is this the place to track this or should I open a new bug report?

Gant 1.5.0 is now the version in Sid and Jaunty. I think this bug can
probably be removed now as "time passed it by".

gant 1.4.0 entered Debian after Debian Import Freeze in intrepid cycle.

The package was not manually synced after DIF since no one requested it.
Version 1.4.0 has entered in next Ubuntu release under development -
