I'm running Ubuntu 10.4 and I often see a line below or next to pictrues
using Firefox. In the last few days, for example, I see a line under
Google's logo, since Google layout has changed. When I zoom in or out my
web pages lines often disappear.

I have had this issue also. I am new to Ubuntu and Firefox but when I
was viewing a page that I had created I had this problem. When I
eliminated the WIDTH tag the issue was resolved. Please e-mail me with

For example, on the image in the middle of the page pertaining to Lake
Calhoun, I can see a black 1px line on the top and left of the image.
It is an 80x80 JPEG that is resized via HTML to 45x45px, as Hope d above
suggested.

Same issue. It went away then after the lates Ubuntu updates every
single image it seems have the annoying black lines.
I read somewhere it affects images resized with CSS or HTML, but that is
not the case for me any longer.

I realize that you gave us the specs to change on that webpage, do you
know of any other sites that produce this issue? What I'll do is play
around with it until I can see the same thing and try and work backwards
