I was able to boot WindowsXP cleanly, and poweroff it off without kvm
throwing a sigsegv.
If anyone is still experiencing this problem under Jaunty KVM, please
reopen this bug!

I get this crash, but it happens a bit differently. I tried to install
windows xp as a guest, but when it reboots partway through the install,
I can't start it back up. When I try to start it, the guest's BIOS thing
says the disk is corrupted. I then right click the VM and click
shutdown, and virt-
Also, have you seen this with any other KVM guests, besides Windows XP?
Perhaps an Ubuntu one, with ACPI disabled?
