I am making slow progress with some help on forums, but it would be really nice
to have someone who understands this stuff in-depth lend a hand.
I would like to be able to continue using this wireless card _and_ keep my
installation current with all updates, hopefully I will not have to go throug
I forgot to add, I am in process of replacing my old reliable install of feisty
7.04 / kernel 2.6.20.17.
This wireless card worked with zero intervention on that install.
I have stuck another hard drive in the machine to put 9.10 on and will remove
the old drive once I get this new install runnin

hi i just installed ubuntu 8.10 beta alternate via cd. the debinstaller
did not recognize my wireless card d-link g520+ (acx100), which kinda
sucked, but after installation process support for atheros 802.11
wirless lan cards was flawlessly detected. so iam happy again hope i
could help

The Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Beta release was most recently announced -
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/intrepid/beta . It contains the 2.6.27
Ubuntu kernel. It would be great if you could test and verify if this
is still an issue. The status is being set to Incomplete until we
receive further feedback.
The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
system crashes from time to time using this card.
