Hey, I think it works now. Only annoying thing is that any windows that
were up on any desktop have to be minimized and then brought up again,
otherwise they're "frozen."

When activating any of the effects that does not work, like Rain, no errors
appear in Xorg's log.
Today I tried the experimental Snow plugin, and it runs very well. No Rain or
Skydome, however...
