Yes, gnome-main-menu needs to be rebuilt since libgail18 is now
obsoleted. We need to wait for the new version to be packaged though
(see bug 234769), since this also includes support for nm 0.7 which is
now in intrepid.

Please check your repositories, Im using intrepid too and this bug
doesnt appear in my system. It could be that you need to wait a little
for those packages.

The dependencies on libgail packages seem cause the problem...
Source package depends on libgnome-desktop-dev, which depends on
libgnome-gui-dev and it depends on libgtk2-dev, and this last package
replaces libgail-dev...
I don't know which package requires libgail-dev... I's very
complicated...
