Thanks i reloaded Ubuntu .I first tried to reload xp but got error 16
twice??.I have purchased 3 new hard drives to replace the grub error 22 that
i can never get past.Wifi almost has me beaten i have to put in the
passphase up to 20 times to get connected each reboot.It also logs out as
often
it was americas army game when it craashed,, and i am running hardy
install,,, i have a hp dv9620us

In that case, and seeing as you could have recovered if you had type the
dpkg command without the spaces

happening on the machine when it crashed. Were you running any other
applications or just letting the install do its thing? Do you remember
which package was installing when the crash occurred? What type of
laptop is it, any ext
