It looks like there may be something wrong with my DVD/CD Rewriter in my
desktop. Xubuntu 8.0.4.1 32 bit does work (it just takes some time to access
the DVD). I decided to try to re-run my 'problem' DVD in the desktop - it's no
longer recognized in Windows. Windows will still recognize audio
Setting package to linux because this bug seams to be a Linux x86_64
driver issue.

I've tried the suspect UDF disk on Gutsy 32 bit (on my laptop, same
machine as Xubuntu 8.0.4.1). With 7.10 32 bit it works fine, bur
doesn't work on 7.10 64 bit on my AMD64 machine. In 7.10 64 bit no
messages are shown in dmesg (attached). The drive just sounds as if
it's trying to access the dr
fstab file:

The output of dmesg is not very useful:

Which version of UDF did this DVD use? Does other DVDs work with your
device? Can you try to reproduce this bug with intrepid and provide a
dmesg log for intrepid?
