I have the same problem i Ubuntu 9.10
- NM fails setting up DLS connection via my ADSL modem (in Bribge mode), but
- manual setting-up via pppd pty 'pppoe -I eth10' user x password y works!
The log of failed NM is similar to #7 attached.
By me looks this like that: see NetworkManager-DSL-fail.tx

I'm using PPPoE connection type to the Net but this functionality was
added only in network manager 0.7 could you please backport it for Hardy
or fixed this problem somewhere else?
