Thank you for reporting this bug. tsclient has been removed from the
Ubuntu 11.10 archives. The software has not had a new release in years
and was no longer being maintained. Unfortunately that means this bug
won't be fixed.

I have just confirmed your bug.
I can connect full screen without using the alternate box, and my alt
ctl enter does make it fullscreen, but when i attempt to connect
fullscreen WITH the alternate option checked off it does fail to
connect.
To further confirm and validate your initial tho
No, I am not using Compiz. Can you duplicate my results with the -F
instead of -f option in the Terminal Server Client?
