Are you saying that setting [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the maintainer field caused
debuild to fail? That's what is expected, since we want an @ubuntu.com address
there. If it showed that error, that's absolutely normal, and I don't see
anything to be f
I am fully aware of the use of the Maintainer field but you miss my
point. The key phrase in the wiki article you reference (which I'd
already reviewed before posting this bug) is:
"If the Maintainer field contains an ubuntu.com email address..."
The email address I use to sign packages is [EMAIL
I can't set this because I'm not in bugcontrol, please who can do it.

This is not a bug, if the version number contains ubuntuX you must change the
Maintainer field in debian/control to follow this:
