Ok, I have run glxinfo, here the output.
After running that, I thought that fglrxinfo could be interessting Froze
again. So I mad a restart, run fglrxinfo without problem (fglrx driver is
enabled). I thought that it would be interessting to see how fast glxgears is
running, froze again...
leave Composite disabled and post the output of this command:

Now there is a error message comming, when I try to start the Desktop effects
(the ok, doesn't work, if I click the message come one more time but this is an
other bug...)
Cedega ist still producing a freeze. I have not try it with more application,
but I bet, that there are more which produce a
try making the Extensions section (in your xorg.conf) look like the
following:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection
Then restart the Xserver and see if you can still reproduce the problem.
NOTE: Compiz won't work.
