this works in my computer but if i use recordmydekstop compiz and kdenlive i get a crash to get it works i have used kdelive like root so i have : sudo apt-get install libxcb-composite0 libxcb1-dbg libxcb1-dev then if i use recordmydestop and compiz i have to run in this way kdesudo kdenlive

well it's true on the theory but on the practice it's not so , because when i have installed kubuntu i have tested : 1 no compiz WITHOUT composite0 =crash 2 no compiz WITH composite0 before updating* =no crash ; after updating = CRASH 3 no compiz WIT

libxcb1-dbg libxcb1-dev won't have any actual effect, as they are debug symbols and development files, they shouldn't be required. The fact that you are using compiz might also be the cause of the issue. Have you tried *without* libxcb-composite0 and without compiz ? Cheers -- [solved] Kdenlive
