I also find that wine 1.0 works much better than 0.9.59 for running games
I originally installed wine from the Ubuntu repo, after having slight

I have installed 1.0 on the launch day and have had a great Wine
experience since that day. I use it mainly for games, and I noticed it
required less tinkering for some of them to run than in the previous
0.9.x Wine series. Also, there is a really satisfying performance in D3D
rendering.

I haven't noticed any regressions from wine 0.9.59 to wine 1.0. All
programs that I've tried run as well as they have before.

Windows partition (I d

Copied to hardy-proposed. Please get some user feedback written down
here (in the sense of "I am regularly using this, and it still works
fine for me"). Thanks!
