Hi Michael,
It hasn't yet, no. We wanted to get this one out as quickly as we could
given the delay. Please feel free to file a separate wishlist bug
requesting parallels-config.
Best regards,

Thanks for the update Brian,
Has the inability to recompile due to kernel updates been resolved, so
shall I open a separate ticket for my findings with parallels-config?
Also, I have recently switched from the -generic kernel to the -openvz
kernel in order to add VirtualBox to my configuration. T
The latest parallels update in partner now supports the -19 kernel
release.

Hi,
I'll ask them why this is the case. In the next release, whenever they
provide it to us, I'll ask that they ensure this functions again. (It wasn't
part of our testing since we release the modules as well, but given the
latest delays, it makes since to include it)
Thank you for your feedback
I just successfully installed / compiled the test 2232 build directly
from Parallels on the -19 kernel.
The link to the "test" build was provided at this link:

I have no idea why parallels-config does not fix the -19 troubles.
Usually when I run parallels-config I see about four drivers being
compiled. However, below is the output from having just run it on 8.04
with the Parallels ala Vendors Repository install path:

Hi,
Why doesn't running parallels-config work? We didn't cripple it in any
way.

Any update on this trouble?
I saw a newer build of the -19 kernel flow out. I was worried it was -20
at first.
I would rather not pull -18 kernel packages off of the one test system I
have in order to rebuild my main system.
It is very slick to have Parallels in the Vendors repository from the

This is already in the works. We are awaiting final go ahead from
Parallels to push an update.
Thanks!
