That's great to hear. As I said before, the build of LyX in Intrepid
should be fixed (currently it fails to build because of a problem with
boost) and LyX 1.5.5-1 can be backported to Hardy.

I have been running 1.5.5-1 (as compiled source) since shortly after the
backport corruption.
I can report that it is working perfectly in 64bit AMD 8.04 Ubuntu.
