I have the same problem here. my kernel version is 2.6.24-19-generic
iwconfig output:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"SpeedStream" Nickname:"SpeedStream"

Rocross:
Maybe the access point you're trying to connect to is not wep-encrypted, but
wpa?
Nabeel, Ara: You haven't posted anything in almost a month now... Is

I set essid and wep password,but still "Access Point: Not-Associated";

I too have the same problem. I get the following output for 'iwconfig'.

lono wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
wmaster0 no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IE
how am I gonna know the kernel version??
how can I install the linux-restricted-modules package??
I got four sub-folders under the firmware file !!!

Dear Nabeel, I have the same wifi adapter, and it's working fine out of the box
in Hardy.
Are you sure yours is not working? What is your output of 'iwconfig'?
Also, what kernel version are you running? Is the linux-restricted-modules
package installed?
