The latest version is reported to be in Intrepid and hence closing this
bug as Fix Released. In addition, a backport request bug has been filed
at https://bugs.launchpad.net/hardy-backports/+bug/246477 . If you have
a backport request in smartmontools please add to this backport bug.

Yes,
The Package should be Updated since the current version 5.37 was released way
back in 2006. Its database is way old & does not have values for latest drives.
The new version 5.38 was released on March 2008. it has been long time.
Please update.
