The one other would appear to be commenting out bind-address = 127.0.0.1 in the master's my.cnf. This allows the slave to connect. (It would be better if that could be set to two addresses rather than the all-or-one choice, but evidently MySQL doesn't have that option?) -- MySQL replication - D
