I disagree that it would be confusing. It is not confusing in Firefox 2.
Folder icons and RSS icons have drop-down menus; custom icons (web-site
originated) don't.
I sync my bookmarks between several computers, using Foxmarks. On the
computers running Firefox 3, some of my bookmarks on the bookmar

I believe that just indicates that it is a drop down menu instead of
being a bookmark. Example: I would be confused if the RSS symbol were
showing on a bookmark and a RSS. If there were no triangle, it would be
very confusing.
