This is probably not an problem with Ubuntu The VIA EPIA EX motherboard does not support SATA2 (3Gb/s), only the slower 1,5Gb/s SATA. Some SATA drives can be configured to work with either 3Gb/s or 1,5Gb/s SATA. Other question, does your BIOS report 1GB of memory? The BIOS of my VIA EPIA EX mothe
