I don't have the disk that made the error occur anymore, so I guess the
output would be useless? Or should I still generate it?
The system at the time being was:
IDE 1, primary master, Seagate 120 gb fluid disk (not in my box anymore)
IDE 3 and 4 DVD-drive and burner
Sata controller 1 + 2, Seagate

Could you please provide more information about your system such that we
are able to understand what happens.
At least we need your "/var/messages" file when you boot from you
liveCD. It would also help if you could run
sudo ls
