This no longer repros on intel 965 + intrepid and it also doesn't repro
on intel G45 + jaunty. My guess is that it was fixed in the intel ddx
driver for intrepid but I'm not sure exactly what package/commit fixed
it.

Gnome panel
My apps flicker quite a bit. Most of them are unusable. I have an
integrated intel board and Stormbaan is my 1 app that seems to work.
Compiz on/off has no difference other than in compiz if I have a
transparent desktop it really fouls up my apps. Has anyone fixed this
yet? Does anyone have problem
Confirmed for both Nvidea and ATI on 8.04 (fresh install)
affects most fullscreen apps such as VLC (not totem...?) and any game
compiz on/off has no influence

Notes:
1) The exact same bug also repros using the "Extreme Tux Racer" game (package
name "etracer").
2) The bug goes away if you turn off compiz by setting
