This is still a problem with Intrepid. Basically, at first it seems
impossible to turn off visualizations, no matter what I do to the
checkbox, the visualization is going and going. But when the song plays
to the end, then the situation is reversed, and I can't turn

The visualization GOOM (which was the one that showed when I had turned
visualization off) now never shows. Not even when I enable visualization
and select it. The other visual effect works.
