Unfortunately my Canon printer's powerpack was damaged due to lightning.
I used the opportunity to buy myself an Epson printer, which was
detected and workable immediately after I plugged it in. Canon will
never see me again ... hello Epson!

This is after I tried to print something. Even if I deactivate the
AppArmor protection, my printer still does not want to print.

Is this after trying to print something?
Since you are using a 3rd party driver, does it work after deactivating the
AppArmor protection with this command on a terminal:
$ sudo aa-complain cupsd
You can reactivate the AppArmor protection again with this command:
$ s
The Printer detection for USB printer is as follow:

I don't see a Server Settings in my "System" -> "Administration" ->
"Printing" dialog window. The error_log file is empty. I've changed the
"LogLevel warning" line to "LogLevel debug" and restarted CUPS.
