I experienced also things no more working after going from Gutsy to Hardy: to some ftp servers I can't connect no more (with places->connect to server), I get a "invalid answer" message. With every other ftp-client (also in the shell) I can connect without problems to the same server. It seems

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find. The issue has already been discussed on several bugs, gnomevfs was not doing any mountings and the icons where special bookmarks, now you can use standard bookmarks and gvfs is
