The Acer TravelMate 4500 no longer works. I purchased a new laptop and I am
running 8.04 with everything working fine. I can no longer be a test for
this bug. Sorry.

The problem is still there in the latest Hardy Heron. I also tried the
newer experimental release but that was no better.
