Ok, I found that drkonqi is the crash handler.
By the way, I found some information that might help:
ICE error: Offending minor opcode= 3 (AuthRequired)
Offending sequence number = 4
Error class = AuthenticationFailed

Yeah, kdebase became a KDE4 package in 8.10, while kdenlive hadn't released a
KDE4 version yet.
This should be fixed in Kubuntu 9.04. drkonqi is no longer an executable (as
far as I can see) and should be available to any KDE app without installing
extra packages.

AFTER finding the need for 2 packages in order to see 1394 capture screen
(first reference was correct second said ffplay but ffmpeg was the closest so I
loaded that)
I just fell over this problem whilst waiting for those other packages to load.
