I can confirm that in Rhythmbox in the Ubuntu 10.10 official release
version (and updates as of 5th Nov 2010) that this is still an issue.
The dapp share name appears in Rhythmbox, and you can double click it,
but get no further. There is never a password prompt window for the daap
share password
Bug is still unresolved and present in 0.13.1 (Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick
beta)

I can confirm this under Lucid running Rhythmbox 0.12.8 on amd64
hardware. However, I am able to connect to another machine's Rhythmbox
shares fine from the aforementioned. The other machine is running
gNewSense Rhythmbox 0.11.6 on mipsel hardware.

Still having this bug on 0.12.7: connecting to a password protected mt-
daap share which is outside the internal LAN fails. It just times out
with no message and no password prompt. The same daap share is
accessible with no issues through other clients such as Songbird. It
would be nice if daap plu
