I can confirm that in Rhythmbox in the Ubuntu 10.10 official release version (and updates as of 5th Nov 2010) that this is still an issue. The dapp share name appears in Rhythmbox, and you can double click it, but get no further. There is never a password prompt window for the daap share password

I can confirm this under Lucid running Rhythmbox 0.12.8 on amd64 hardware. However, I am able to connect to another machine's Rhythmbox shares fine from the aforementioned. The other machine is running gNewSense Rhythmbox 0.11.6 on mipsel hardware. -- connecting to daap share fails to ask for req

Still having this bug on 0.12.7: connecting to a password protected mt- daap share which is outside the internal LAN fails. It just times out with no message and no password prompt.
