I tried to upload my /var/log/apt/term.log file, but it was also empty.
Please note that in my case I did an upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10. My 8.04
installation was up to date (via Internet repositories) before the
installation. I did the 8.10 upgrade from CD to save time.

I just got the same bug. The above 4 files are from my /var/log/dist-
upgrade directory. The "apt-term.log" file from the same directory was
empty and could not be attached
