The solution posted here in Launchpad seems to work. Now we just need
someone to fix the Mythbuntu Control Centre option.

** SOLVED **
Thanks for the suggestions. Basically, apache had the wrong MythTV
password stored.
Check to make sure that the "db_password" in:
/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/mythweb.conf
matches the "DBPassword" in:
~/.mythtv/mysql.txt
Then, restart apache by typing:
/etc/init.d/a
Try updating the mythweb.conf file in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled instead
of /etc/mythtv
