SOLUTION (not a bugfix):
download pgcedit and extract. give it execute and stick it in /usr/bin.
if your dvd isn't on the harddrive (i've only done it with the raw
files, not the ISO), copy it there.
open pgcedit and open your dvd directory with pgcedit (it's the ..
(parent) directory of VIDEO_

Same thing here, kubuntu 8.04 whit all last update same erro described up
(what's the means of botch I dunno).
Anyway files recorded under XP with nero work out of box in my table player.
I'm very afraid, after here whitout WIN I need it for record a dvd video

I suffer the same issue. If I rip the DVD files to disk and them burn them
back, the k3b/mkisofs error message is the same as above.
However, this only occurs if the total file size is close to 4.4 GB. Smaller
DVDs (< 4 GB) do not seem to be affected.
