With gutsy, I had to manually execute it for each bootup. Same issues,
upgrade and apt-get installation does not work out of the box in Hardy.
~$ sudo /etc/init.d/smartmontools start , failed and the same happens as
root (not a good option but i was curious)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/va# /etc/init
