I added bug task to xserver-xorg-video-intel package.

response from intel-driver developers.

I edited the Device section so that xorg loads the
intel driver, made sure the intel driver loads and
still the same problem. But it is tied to the intel
815 chipset I think,

Do you mean change the driver from .810 to intel?
This occurred to me, but I don't know how to change
drivers in Hardy because the xorg.conf is so short now.
All it has is this:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"
Identifier
I don't have this problem with intel driver instead of i810. Could you
test with that or without xorg.conf at all.
