Loaded a 1.2Mb mp3 recorded with Genome sound recorder. Trimmed it,
selected "Stereo to mono" then boof! Segfault city.

I'm having the same issue in 8.04 on my Dell XPS M1330
I'm playing through Jack, not ALSA in case that makes a difference.

I also confirm this Segmentation Fault crash when pressing "Play" after
running "Tracks -> Stereo to Mono" in Audacity 1.3.4 Beta (??) on Ubuntu
