What is it that really breaks it
- the late message

- the obvious apt changed message earlier
sed: can't read /etc/apt/sources.list: No such file or directory

I came across this DEP8 failure today, implemented a minimalistic fix
for the lack of "crypt" module in Python 3.13 (PEP-594), but then ran
into the issue from comment #3 (and ran out of time).
Attached is my minimalistic fix. But it seems like the work done in

Now it is over the syntax errors and similar, but breaks on being unable
to handle plucky images.

testlib is from a time several packages tried to establish a shared lib for
tets functions.
But requirements diverged and so this never came to permanent good use.
Due to that in this particular case the broken code is just unused.

In Debian, packages were scanned for SyntaxWarnings and deprecated
modules (Dead Batteries) [1] and bugs were filed for these.
However, the file in question, debian/tests/testlib.py, is not part of
the Debian packaging, so no bugs were filed against open-iscsi.
